Ann Fullerton lives and works in Canada

I studied Fine and Graphic Arts at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario, and after graduating in 1975, I began my professional career as a junior artist at Stephens/McBain in Toronto, where I worked until 1980. In that year, I joined Wallis Studios, located in Toronto’s prestigious Yorkville area, as a designer and illustrator.

While continuing my work at Wallis Studios after the birth of my son in 1987, I found that the demanding hours of the advertising industry were no longer compatible with my new role as a mother. I made the decision to transition to freelance work from home, which allowed me more time with my son and gave me the opportunity to rediscover my passion for watercolours.

Within a short time, I began offering classes and workshops from my home studio and garden in Mississauga. Over the past two decades, I’ve had the privilege of teaching at Visual Arts Mississauga, Sheridan College, Oakville, and with various art groups throughout the Greater Toronto Area and southwestern Ontario.

Recently, my husband and I relocated to the Grand Bend area on the shores of Lake Huron, where our home backs onto an Oak Savannah forest and The Pinery Provincial Park. I am now a proud member of Sunset Arts, a cooperative gallery in Grand Bend, where I continue to share my love of art and nature.
